24Hr BLUE Antimicrobial Coatings
How It Helps
It is important to protect young children from infections and disease especially in an environment like day care centres where harmful bacteria can easily spread. In environments like this, where young children cannot wear masks it is important to implement other procedures to ensure the safety of children, caretakers, and staff.
One way to do so is to have rigorous maintenance procedures. Day care centres have multiple high touch surfaces whether it be doors, tables, chairs, or railings. These surfaces can contain and grow bacteria that can be destructive and be easily spread and contracted through touch. By cleaning these surfaces, we can ensure that day cares can be a safe since we are preventing destructive bacteria from growing.
24Hr Blue antimicrobial covers protect surfaces 24/7, 365 days by using silver ion technology that is continuously released onto the covers to deactivate the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew, and viruses. This eliminates the need to sanitized surfaces after each contact or use, and allows caretakers to focus on the children, rather than the sanitation of their room.
24Hr Blue also comes in a variety of antimicrobial cover forms. Door pulls, countertops, railings, push guards, and custom application for unique high touch surfaces can be protected with 24Hr Blue. This ensures that children, caretakers, and staff are protected whether they are entering the day care, teaching, learning, or playing, and leaving at the end of the day.

How It Helps
Keeping young children safe is important as they can easily catch infections and disease, even more so with the impact of COIVD-19. Using temperature screeners is one way to help prevent the spread and protect children and staff as it helps with regulating body temperatures.
Thirty8 Degrees’ Thermal Guard temperature screener uses multiple facial points to provide an accurate body temperature reading of +/-0.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Each scan takes about 3 seconds, a feature that is useful for small children since they would not need to stand still for too long to get their temperatures taken. The device also allows for social distancing since it is fully automated and does not need a staff member to stand by and operate the device.
Additional features include facial recognition, which can allow quick and easy access for staff entry, and mask detection, to help enforce face mask rules as the device can deny entry to those who try to enter the day care without one, increasing the level of safety.
The temperature screener also has an optional alarm system that comes with a strobe light, siren, and a popup notification on a PC system. The alert system goes off if someone is trying to enter the day care with a high body temperature or if the system does not recognize a face in its user database. This feature can also add a small layer of security to day cares by keeping track of any unauthorized person who tries to enter.
The device is easy to install with no additional software configuration required. Once the temperature screener is plugged into the system, it is ready to use.
